About FSL

The one constant throughout FSL's 55-year history has been Richard F. "Dick" Jones. On leave from the U.S. Army in 1968, he signed FSL's original incorporation papers, then joined the Company in 1970 after leaving the service. Dick was elevated to President of FSL in 1982, succeeding his father, and has guided the Company through four decades of remarkable growth and achievement.

Bryce is one of the third-generation owners of FSL and was named President of the Company in 2022. He has served in a variety of roles since joining the FSL in 2009. Before that, he was a Senior Consultant for Navigant Consulting and a Commercial Banking Officer and Underwriter for Guaranty Bank.

Martha joined FSL as Senior Counsel in 1998 and has progressively added titles and responsibilities since then. Today, she oversees FSL's Legal, Reinsurance, Contracts, Compliance, Agent Licensing, and Commission Control departments. Prior to joining FSL, Martha was a litigation attorney for 12 years practicing in the areas of insurance defense, employment liability, and product liability.

Peter has more than 40 years experience in accounting and finance for insurance companies. Prior to joining FSL in 2016, Peter had served as CFO and Treasurer of Monitor Liability Managers (a W.R. Berkley Company), and Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer of American Mutual Reinsurance Company. Peter also served as a board member of the Illinois Insurance Exchange Guaranty Fund for 10 years.

Tim brings more than 40 years of industry experience to his marketing leadership role at FSL, overseeing new product development, maintaining and growing existing partnerships, and identifying new marketing opportunities. Before joining Fidelity in 2020, Tim spent six years as Vice President of Group Insurance at Kansas City Life Insurance Company. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President with Assurant Employee Benefits, also in Kansas City.

Leroy is the senior officer responsible for policy administration, customer service, claims, human resources and facilities management. Before joining FSL in 2007, he served a Vice President of Reinsurance Operations for Transamerica for 8 years and Operations Manager for Hallmark Cards Inc. for 11 years.

Janae started her FSL journey over four years ago as a contract attorney in the Legal Department, then was hired as Assistant Counsel in 2019. Janae has navigated the reinsurance landscape, which plays a major role for FSL to transfer risk and reduce capital requirements.

Eric has more than 30 years of investment management experience working with multiple fixed-income products. Before joining FSL in 2013, he served as investment manager for a Wall Street hedge fund and worked at a registered investment advisory firm in New York, specializing in leveraged finance.
